ABOUT ME
I am a licensed clinical social worker with 25 years experience in adult mental health. I believe it's important to be engaged in my own emotional growth and development so I can be most effective for my clients. I participate in ongoing supervision and peer consultation.
MY TRAINING
I received my graduate degree in Social Work at the University of Georgia in 1997. I participate in on going trainings that focus on developing the person of the therapist through authentic interpersonal engagement.
MY INFLUENCES
My work is influenced by the work of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung and other authors including Joseph Campbell, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat Hanh and Eckhart Tolle. Jungian psychology interests me because of its recognition of the psyche, or soul, a concept ignored by classical psychological theories.
